Fire Shawl

A woven dance of fire, of ashes and of flames. Created as a commission with a strong intention to hold its wearer through times of transformation, to keep them warm through any storm. This shawl was woven on the last full moon at Winter Solstice. Weaving in the promise of the returning light and the beautiful darkness of a long winter’s night, kissed by a bright moon. Colours lent by Madder root and skin of Onion. Fibres lent Wild forest silk moths, by Grey Corriedale, Black Welsh Mountain, and White Falkland Sheep.
