As humans we are beginning to remember and recognise Menopause as a rite of passage, as a time of 'becoming' and as a deep initiation into Elderhood.

The years and cycles of menstruation leading up to this time in the female bodied life are merely the years of practicing who it is one is to truly become through the process of Menopause. 

These blanket shawls are like Selkie skins, spun and woven to honour the journey and to reclaim that which was once lost to us through the life lived.

 

They are each created as commission pieces, working with intention to wrap ones self in love, in warmth, in honour, and to offer holding through this time of great transformation, meeting this rite of becoming through the reclaiming of ones uniquely woven skin...
